CBD
Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a chemical compound derived from the Cannabis sativa plant (aka hemp). While it does not have psychoactive effects like THC does (i.e., you won't get high), CBD can work with your body's natural systems to help you manage daily stressors and anxiety, sleep more peacefully, find relief from chronic pain & digestive issues, and feel like yourself again. Our Tranquility and Enlighten tinctures are formulated with CBD and enhanced with Ayurvedic ingredients.
CBG
Cannabigerol, or CBG, is derived from young hemp plants. CBD works with your body's endocannabinoid system to support its natural functions: enhancing pleasure and motivation, regulating appetite & sleep and alleviating pain. Like CBD, CBG does not give you high but does have many therapeutic benefits, which is why we created our Restore tincture with CBG and natural Ayurvedic ingredients.
Terpenes
Terpenes are a natural compound found in the hemp plant. ​In addition to having antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, terpenes can provide a sense of calm and relaxation in those who use products with terpenes. It can also help your body interact with CBD more effectively (i.e., if you are using CBD with ingredients for relaxation, the terpenes can help your body relax more). Terpenes are used in all our CBD & CBG products to help you get the most of your wellness journey.
Ashwagandha
Ashwagandha is an herb that has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years. It is an adaptogen, meaning it promotes balance and support in many different systems of the body. Ashwagandha is believed to support longevity, vitality, and happiness in its users. AUM Remedies uses ashwagandha in our Enlighten CBD formula to provide a sense of calm, stress support, quality sleep and overall well being.
Turmeric
Turmeric, or "shati" in Sanskrit, has been used as a traditional medicine and spice for thousands of years. It has been used to support healthy digestion, promote cardiovascular health, and support the immune system in Ayurvedic medicine. Ingesting turmeric has also been shown to promote clear and beautiful skin, promoting a luminous glow from deep within. We use turmeric in our Enlighten, Tranquility and Restore formulas to strengthen the overall energy in the body and support the brain & nervous system.
Haritaki
Haritaki​ has long been called the "King of Medicines" in Ayurveda for its amazing therapeutic benefits. The medicinal herb is rich in Vitamin C and is found to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It has been used to relieve pain, increase physical function, and improve the overall quality of life in those who ingest it. In Ayurvedic medicine, haritaki is considered a powerful adaptogen, meaning it can boost the body's ability to manage stress. AUM Remedies uses haritaki in our Tranquility CBD formula to provide support and relief from daily anxiety and stress.
Triphala
Triphala is a staple of Ayurvedic medicine and has been used for well over 2,000 years. It is made from the dried powder of three different fruits: Indian gooseberry, black myrobalan and belleric myrobalan. In Ayurvedic practice, Triphala is believed to support the three major elements: air/space, fire/water, and water/earth. It is used to support digestive health and alleviate inflammation, which is why it's a key ingredient in our Restore CBG formula: to promote gut rehabilitation and rejuvenation.
